Popular YouTuber Davie504 recently opened up to his audience about an unexpected health diagnosis that came as a wake-up call about the dangers of a sedentary lifestyle.
At just 31 years old, the content creator discovered he has osteopenia, a condition where bone density drops below normal levels. The YouTuber talked about his condition in a recent video.
The diagnosis came during his first comprehensive health examination last year. While most results returned normal, a bone density scan revealed concerning findings.
“It turns out my bone density is lower than normal, and I was diagnosed with osteopenia,” Davie504 explained to his viewers. “It basically means my bones are not as dense or strong as they should be.”
Osteopenia serves as a warning stage before osteoporosis, a more serious condition where bones become fragile and prone to fractures. For someone in their early thirties, this diagnosis is particularly unusual.
The YouTuber attributed the condition to his work lifestyle, which involves spending countless hours sitting at his desk creating content.
“My bones looked at my lifestyle and said, ‘We are not investing in this guy long term,'” he joked. The diagnosis highlighted how prolonged sitting and lack of physical activity can impact health in ways that aren’t immediately apparent.
“I feel completely fine now. I have no pain, no warning signs, and still the test showed something wasn’t right,” he noted.
Following his doctor’s recommendations, Davie504 began a structured fitness regimen focused on weight training and building muscle. However, he quickly encountered a challenge familiar to many content creators: balancing health priorities with work demands.
“I am very one-dimensional. I can’t focus on two things at the same time,” he admitted, explaining that attempting to maintain both serious training and consistent content production proved difficult.
To address this, he’s making changes to his upload schedule, occasionally missing posts to prioritize gym sessions. He’s also adjusting his diet considerably, eating multiple meals throughout the day to support muscle growth, describing the eating schedule as “basically a full-time job.”
The YouTuber’s main message to his audience was clear: preventive health care matters.
“Health is not something you can ignore forever, especially when problems don’t show obvious symptoms,” he emphasized, encouraging viewers to get regular check-ups, particularly those with desk-bound jobs. “Take care of your body, especially if your jobs involve sitting for hours at your desk. Your future self will thank you.”
