In a recent social media clip, UFC middleweight contender Paulo Costa sparked attention with an unconventional analogy, comparing Bitcoin to a “thick girl” starting to exercise. The Brazilian star, known for his candid remarks, shared his thoughts on investing in the cryptocurrency market, drawing parallels between the two.
For those unfamiliar, Costa is a prominent figure in the world of mixed martial arts, having recently signed a contract for UFC 302. The 30-year-old has been open about his enthusiasm for cryptocurrency, particularly Bitcoin. When asked about the best investment opportunities, Costa didn’t hesitate to share his thoughts.
“I’m a crypto enthusiast, like Bitcoin, and I know this is the future,” Costa said in the interview. “Some people are asking me, Paulo, what do you think should be the best investment nowadays? And I will tell you right now. It’s this.”
Costa then drew an unexpected comparison, saying, “You know, it’s like… a thick girl starting to exercise. You got one of those, you know, on premium age, very young, beautiful. You know, it will be above the weight. A lot above the weight. But, you know, you regulate her diet and throw her to the gym, do some exercise. Bro, this is the same like buy Bitcoin in 2010. You know, you pay less for more.”
Costa’s posts regularly go viral on social media so it’s no wonder he’s using unconventional marketing tactics. Just last week he shared about getting catfished on tinder. The post has been viewed more than 2M times on twitter.

Costa’s analogy suggests that just as a person can improve their physical appearance and health through exercise and a balanced diet, Bitcoin has the potential to grow exponentially in value with time, much like a person’s physical transformation.

This isn’t the first time Costa has expressed his enthusiasm for cryptocurrency. His interest in Bitcoin dates back to 2017, when the digital currency was trading around $1,000 per coin. Today, Bitcoin’s value has surged to over $40,000 per coin, showcasing the potential for massive returns on investment.

While Costa’s analogy may have raised eyebrows, his message is clear: he believes in the long-term potential of Bitcoin and sees it as a wise investment opportunity. Previously Costa got sponsored by Marshall Rogan Inu, an altcoin named by Joe Rogan’s dog Marshall Mae.
Whether or not one agrees with Costa’s unorthodox analogy, his passion for cryptocurrency is undeniable.
