Former UFC lightweight contender James Vick suffered a devastating knockout loss at the hands of fellow UFC veteran Rafael Alves during the main event of Karate Combat 47 on Friday.
Just minutes into the bout, Alves landed a head kick that left Vick unconscious and sprawled on the mat. The highlight-reel knockout punctuated a wild event that also saw Karate Combat president Asim Zaidi intervene in a chaotic brawl, choking a cornerman of Will Esparza unconscious.
