(VIdeo) Chimaev delivers body shot to overeager fan

Despite not getting in the UFC cage for over a year, undefeated prospect Khamzat Chimaev has landed a thudding body shot – but not inside the octagon. Instead, the incident occurred during a fan meet-and-greet, where an overeager fan approached the Chechen star.

The fan, who turned out to be a regional MMA fighter and Belgian social media influencer Idriss Altidor, stood tall and shook off the powerful blow from Chimaev. Fans were left in awe by Altidor’s resilience, with one commenting, “Ate it like a cake,” and another noting, “Dude took it like a champ.”

Interestingly, some fans recognized Altidor and mentioned his previous interactions with other fighters, such as heavyweight Cyril Gane. “He did this with a lot of fighters,” one fan wrote, while another commented, “He also did this with Cyril Gane and many other fighters.”

The UFC has since booked Chimaev against former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker for UFC 308. Former ‘BMF’ titleholder Jorge Masvidal has weighed in on the matchup, backing ‘The Reaper’ to deliver a “beat-down for the ages” against the undefeated Chechen.

Whittaker, known for his calm demeanor and humble personality, has never shied away from a challenge. In a recent interview, he revealed that he had requested the fight against Chimaev, despite the bout being previously canceled due to the latter’s health issues. However, Chimaev has refuted Whittaker’s claims, urging him not to lie.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the clash between the two top middleweights, with Masvidal confident that the more experienced Whittaker will easily overcome the “boy” in Chimaev.
