UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira is known for his intimidating presence and knockout power inside the octagon. However, a recent video shows the lighter side of the Brazilian star as he pulled a hilarious prank on his two sons.
In the viral clip, Pereira donned a realistic bear suit and lay in wait for his kids to enter the room. When they stumbled upon the “bear” lounging on the floor, they were understandably terrified and quickly fled the scene. But the fun didn’t stop there.
Urged to take another look, the unsuspecting children approached the “bear” once more. That’s when Pereira jumped up, letting out a growling sound that sent his sons scampering away in sheer panic and laughter.
The prank appears to be Pereira’s playful revenge after one of his sons previously startled him by wearing a ghost costume. The stoic fighter narrowly avoided throwing a punch at his own child during that earlier prank.
While the 35-year-old is typically al all-business persona inside the cage, these hilarious family moments showcase his goofy, prankster side away from competition.
Fresh off his first successful UFC light heavyweight title defense against Jamahal Hill at UFC 300 in April, Pereira has expressed interest in moving up to the heavyweight division. But with plenty of contenders awaiting him at 205 pounds, his next fight and weight class remain uncertain for now.
