(Video) Adesanya confirms Sean Strickland’s claims that he’s aroused by cartoons in funny promotional skit

Sean Strickland has made it a part of his personality to say the quiet part out loud. The loud mouth middleweight recently made comments that can be basically summed up as – Adesanya is aroused by anime.

Sean Strickland mentioned Adesanya’s fondness for anime during an interview with The Schmo. He was asked about his opinion on the champion and how he would react if he bumps with Adesanya at UFC 276. ‘Tarzan’ said he doesn’t have any hate towards Adesanya, but accused him of getting aroused by cartoons.

And for once – he found a worthy adversary. Adesanya took the accusations in stride and instead of a rebuttal partnered with Nord VPN and released the following video all but confirming Strickland’s claims.

Adesanya previously sat down with ESPN and broke down his passion for a wildly popular anime called Naruto. His in-depth understanding of the dynamics and character portrayals offers an insight into his fiery passion.

“Naruto’s cool. Where do I start?,” said Adesanya, “Naruto is just a kid but he’s a kid who inspires me based on the way he was brought up and his will-power; his will-power really inspired me, and his morals that he has for his friends and his family, and his code.”

“His ninja code could never be broken, and I really respect that; not just him but a few other characters like Rock Lee and Shino, Akamaru or Shikamaru; a lot of them.”

“I draw strength from characters that aren’t even ‘real’, quote-unquote, because they’re animated. But they’re real for me and it’s all about what’s in here, what you feel in here [the heart] and I can relate to those guys more than I can to some of the great leaders of our time.”
