UFC icon Valentina Shevchenko has weighed in on Movsar Evloev’s recent revelations about his childhood.
The former champion took to social media after reading about Evloev’s past experiences, posting a pointed message.
“Well, the guy seems alright, but it looks like the girls beat him up pretty badly back in childhood! Urgently work through those childhood traumas!” Shevchenko wrote in Russian, responding to a news piece about the featherweight contender’s early years.
During an interview with Nina Drama, Evloev opened up about being bullied as a child and how the experience shaped his personality.
“Staying home without going outside because if I go, everybody in my street kick my [ ]. That’s why I want to stay in empty room. Maybe that made me stronger and cold blooded,” Evloev recalled.
He also explained that his age difference with his classmates made him a target, revealing that even girls bullied him during his school years.
“They just beat…. I wasn’t weak but maybe I was weak. But I went to high school too early, like two years younger than my classmates… That’s why even girls at that time could bully me,” he said.
