Usman’s manager accidentally snitches on PED use? Claims Usman was never “caught” by USADA

Ali Abdelaziz is not having a fun week. MMA fans are electrified with the prospect of UFC 278 coming this next weekend. The card is set to be headlined by Kamaru Usman who will be defending the title against Leon Edwards with a co main event featuring former Middleweight champion clashing with ‘juicy’ Paulo Costa.

Kamaru Usman has been one of those UFC athletes who has been suspected of PED use for ages. Usman’s acne scarred shoulders and face do him no favors and the rumors are as rampant as ever. Not to mention that his (sometime) gym is the home of several ‘swole’ contenders.

During the media day interview Confidential Informant (yes, really) Ali Abdelaziz may have let something slip about his prominent client.

During an interview with ESPN MMA, Abdelaziz was heard saying:

“[He’s] the greatest of all time now because [he has] a 16-fight winning streak now in the UFC. The guy never got caught by USADA.”

The segment was instantly clipped online and raised quite a few eyebrows.

Usman had previously addressed rumors that he was the ‘CEO of EPO’ during media day ahead of Covington title defense.

And while the Freudian slip is certainly eyebrow raising, it’s indubitable that Abdelaziz was trying to promote Usman who is in unusually high spirits this week:

“I think the best thing Kamaru did, you know, [was to] take some time off. I’ve never seen him this motivated. He’s having fun, he’s enjoying the week.”
