UFC’s Ian Garry and wife move to Brazil, announce switch to Charles Oliveira’s Chute Boxe team

Ian Garry’s journey has taken an intriguing turn as he settles down at Chute Boxe Academy. After getting kicked out of Team Renegade in the UK, Garry swiftly made his way to Brazil. Garry seems to have found his combat sports haven.

With his latest remarks, it seems likely that the Machado family will remain in Brazil for some time. He has been training for his next bout at the Chute Boxe Academy. Given that Ian Garry speaks Portuguese and has a Brazilian wife, staying in Brazil will not be an issue.

In a recent interview on UFC Embedded, Garry expressed the uniqueness of the Chute Boxe experience. Surrounded by a supportive community, Garry stated: “The team here, the people here, it’s so special, and it’s hard to hold back emotions at the end when you’ve got 60 people in a room locked arms saying the Lord’s Prayer and then just wishing you the best of luck the best of success, it’s, it’s special. It’s emotional, it’s powerful, and it’s exactly, it’s exactly why I love Brazil and why I’m going to live and die here.”

As the anticipation builds, Ian Garry gears up to face the formidable #8 ranked Geoff Neal on the main card of UFC 298 in Anaheim, California. A victory against Neal would catapult Garry into the top 10 of the welterweight division.

He said: “I think Ian is one step ahead of his opponent. Ian is very aware. He fights calm, with composure. I believe we will come out victorious.”

Currently holding an impeccable 13-0 record in his MMA career, Ian Garry faces the formidable challenge of Geoff Neal at UFC 298. While Neal’s aggressive forward approach and powerful punches pose a threat, Garry’s stylistic approach may prove to be his winning strategy.
