UFC vet Paige VanZant reveals she was offered $50K for a custom request, and it’s not what you think

Paige VanZant recently encountered a fascinating proposition on her OnlyFans account: a generous $50,000 offer to chop off her hair and mail them to a devoted subscriber.

However, the MMA icon opted to decline this enticing offer. It was primarily due to a haunting fear that parting with her hair might bring an unforeseen ‘curse.’

This decision wasn’t solely rooted in superstition; it also reflected the emotional attachment VanZant had developed for her carefully nurtured tresses over an extended period.

VanZant’s hesitancy stemmed from a recent viewing of the Gypsy Rose Blanchard documentary. During an episode of the ‘A Kicka** Love Story’ podcast, VanZant revealed her apprehensions.

She said: “I’m still on the fence, but the reason I super super was like, ‘No, I can’t do that’ is because we had just gotten done watching the Gypsy Rose [Blanchard documentary].”

“And she’s going off about how she believes her mom put a hex curse on her because she stole some of her period blood and then buried it in the backyard… and put this curse on her that she will never find true love.”

Reflecting on the possibility of mailing her hair to a subscriber, VanZant admitted: “So then it got me to thinking, ‘OK, if I mail this guy my hair’, not that I necessarily believe in any of that — I don’t know.”

Support for VanZant’s decision echoed within her personal circle, particularly from her husband and fellow MMA combatant Austin Vanderford. He endorsed her choice, considering it a decision free from ‘one too many strings.’ This situation shows the importance of personal boundaries even in the face of lucrative propositions.

VanZant disclosed last month that a single day’s earnings on OnlyFans surpassed her entire career earnings in the UFC. She said: “OnlyFans has definitely been my largest source of income. I would say combined, in my fighting career. I think I made more money in 24 hours on OnlyFans than I had in my entire fighting career. Combined. Yeah.”

VanZant competed in the UFC from 2013 to 2020.
