UFC vet Mike Perry asks Trans kickboxer what it’s like to get kicked to the groin

In a recent interview, Mike Perry engaged in a candid conversation with nonbinary kickboxer Summer Brady, asking about their unique experiences in combat sports.

During their discussion, Perry inquired about Brady’s physical attributes, to which they responded openly.

“I am still packing,” Brady revealed. “In fact, if you watch my last kickboxing bout, I don’t know if half the crowd realized it, but I got kicked in the cup.”

Brady shared a memorable moment from their competition where they had to make a quick decision during a 30-second recovery period.

“I remember sitting there being like ‘yo, do I just push through, or do you let everyone know that you’re still packing down below,'” they recounted.

The kickboxer also addressed their future plans regarding gender reassignment procedures. “To tell you the truth, personally, I don’t really have a plan to lose it,” Brady stated. “I do take hormones, so it doesn’t quite work the same way.”

Brady’s openness about their experiences as a nonbinary athlete adds to the ongoing conversation about inclusivity in combat sports while highlighting some of the unique challenges faced by athletes of diverse gender identities in competition.

Transgender Boxing Champ Wants to KO “Transphobic” Jake Shields

In a callout that’s generating serious buzz, transgender boxer Brady, known as the “Non-Binary Ninja,” is challenging Jake Shields to a dirty boxing match that could potentially go viral.

During a podcast appearance, Brady directly challenged Jake Shields, throwing down a provocative gauntlet.

“Jake Shields, I would love to fight you in dirty boxing. I know you talk a lot about people like me. How about if I win, you have to start calling trans women trans women?”

The challenge stems from previous online interactions where Shields reportedly attacked Brady, calling her a “failed male athlete.” Brady cleverly responded by pointing out Shields’ own past use of spironolactone, a hormone enhancer commonly used by transgender women.

Brady, who identifies as non-binary and competes against male opponents, emphasized her commitment to fair competition. She’s adamant about not cisgender women in combat sports and wants to create opportunities for transgender athletes.

With a background in music, therapy, and combat sports, Brady represents a unique voice in the athletic world – unafraid to speak her truth and challenge preconceived notions about transgender athletes.

Brady was a skilled wrestler who would sometimes get into bar scraps with men who underestimated them

Growing up with a state champion wrestler father in Huntington, Brady developed exceptional wrestling skills early on. These skills translated seamlessly into unexpected bar confrontations, where larger men would underestimate Brady’s capabilities.

“A lot of big guys would start with me in bars and next thing you know, they’re laid out on their head,”

Brady shared during a recent podcast interview.

Friends would joke that while Brady didn’t initially have refined “hands” – boxing skills – they consistently saved companions from potential bar scraps. The wrestling background meant Brady could quickly neutralize aggressive opponents, often surprising challengers who judged them solely on appearance.

Beyond bar encounters, Brady’s survival instincts emerged from real confrontations. They candidly discussed being jumped in New York City during early stages of their transition, which ultimately motivated a return to serious combat sports training.

Brady has no desire to compete against cisgender women in combat sports, as they believe it would be unfair due to biological advantages from going through male puberty

Brady’s stance is clear and principled: they have no desire to compete against cisgender women in combat sports, believing it would be fundamentally unfair due to biological advantages gained through male puberty. This position demonstrates a nuanced understanding of physiological differences and a commitment to athletic integrity.

“Personally, I have no desire to ever fi ght a natural born woman, especially when it comes to Combat Sports,”

Brady stated during the podcast interview.

Their approach prioritizes creating equitable competitive environments. Brady advocates for transgender athlete leagues or matches against other transgender competitors with similar hormonal profiles and physical backgrounds.

This perspective challenges both mainstream sports narratives and internal transgender community debates. Brady acknowledges the biological realities while simultaneously pushing for inclusive athletic opportunities that respect physiological differences.
