UFC Vegas 49: Arman Tsarukyan slashes opponent’s face unleashing a sea of blood

Arman Tsarukian put on a masterful performance against Joel Alvaréz. From the beginning of the fight Tasruvyan completely controlled his opponent.

The Armenian took his opponent down at will. While working on ground and pound, Tsarukyan landed a vicious elbow that sliced open the face of Alvaréz.

The blood was clearly bothering the Spanish fighter, but the commission decided to keep the fight going.

At the very beginning of the second round, Tsarukyan promptly got the fight to the ground and started to work on finishing Alvaréz.

The commentary booth was stating that Alvarez was unable to defend himself due to the amount of blood entering his eyes.

After enduring enough punishment, the ref finally decided to call the fight in favor of the Armenian fighter.

During his post-fight interview, Arman stated that he would very much like to run a rematch against Islam Makhachev.

“yeah its my goal[rematching Islam]” Arman said. “I think it’s gonna be a good match. we are the best in our division.”
