Mike Tyson experienced a medical scare while traveling from Miami to Los Angeles. He is preparing for his highly anticipated comeback against Jake Paul on July 20. The 57-year-old boxing legend felt nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare-up and required immediate medical attention.
His representatives stated: “Thankfully Mr. Tyson is doing great. He became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up 30 minutes before landing. He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him.”
Meanwhile, Jake Paul responded to the news with an audacious message on his podcast. Confident and brash, Paul declared his intentions for their upcoming bout.
Paul asserted: “I’m certain I’m going to win. I’m gonna f**k him up. It might just be easy actually. He doesn’t want that smoke and it’s a pro fight now so it’s just war.”
“In the most respectful way possible because I do love him.”
Jake Paul’s bold remarks did not sit well with the boxing community and fans online. Many were quick to criticize the YouTuber-turned-boxer for his seemingly disrespectful attitude towards the veteran, especially considering Tyson’s recent health issue.
One user on X commented, “Bro just gained more confidence after a medical scare.”
Another tweeted, “Of course it’s gonna be easy he’s 75 years old.”
A third user added, “Why is anyone entertaining this trash.”
A fourth critic remarked, “Lmaoooooo why is he always picking on retired or old fighters. Bro is a coward.”
This upcoming match marks Mike Tyson’s first professional match since his defeat to Kevin McBride in June 2005. However, Tyson did step back into the ring in November 2020 for an exhibition match against fellow legend Roy Jones Jr.
