Tyson Fury earned FIVE times more than Ngannou for Saudi Arabia event

Reigning WBC Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou recently made public the huge payout he pocketed from his bout against Francis Ngannou.

The highly anticipated boxing match between Fury and Ngannou took place in late October in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Despite Fury securing a narrow victory through a split decision, it was Ngannou’s remarkable display of skills that sent shockwaves across the boxing realm.

Ngannou managed to knock down Fury to the canvas and nearly won the match. His stellar performance earned him a prestigious position among the top ten in the official WBC heavyweight rankings.

Amid the lead-up to Fury’s anticipated title unification clash against Oleksandr Usyk, he disclosed the substantial sum he garnered from the Ngannou showdown. Fury said that he earned “nearly £50 million” for the Francis Ngannou match.

Fury’s promoter Bob Arum expressed his surprise at Ngannou’s performance to KO Artist Sports. Despite his surprise, Arum asserted Fury’s unequivocal victory in the match.

He said: “I was stunned. But I said to everyone that Ngannou had a puncher’s chance. He’s a tremendously hard puncher, and he can put heavyweights down on the ground. I don’t think Tyson was prepared for that tough a fight. I thought he clearly won the fight, but Ngannou gave a good account of himself.”

Arum foresees a more equipped and strategically prepared Fury stepping into the ring against Usyk.

He said: “I really believe that when he fights Usyk he has a body of work to study and know how to approach him. With Ngannou he was dealing with a blank slate. He’ll be better prepared, but Usyk is a terrific fighter and it’s not an easy out. I think it will be a very competitive fight.”

Fans have been eagerly waiting for Tyson Fury’s upcoming bout against Oleksandr Usyk. The event promises to be an electrifying showdown for boxing enthusiasts worldwide.
