TikToker Went From 125 Lbs To 95 Lbs – And Is Now Shilling Peptides

A young TikTok creator has sparked concern after documenting a rapid weight loss transformation and using her platform to promote peptide sales to her predominantly young, female audience.

The content creator who stands at 5’3″, began posting in late 2023 at a healthy weight of 124 pounds. Within just a few months, her posts revealed a dramatic change. By early 2024, she disclosed that her weight had dropped to 95 pounds. The loss of 29 pounds represents approximately 23% of her total body weight in roughly 12 weeks.

Fitness experts say that this rate of weight loss is concerning. She achieved nearly over 2% of her total body weight lost per week, on average. Research indicates that losing more than 1% of body weight per week can result in loss of lean muscle mass and bone mineral density, rather than healthy fat loss.

What makes this situation particularly troubling is the commercial aspect. The creator’s TikTok bio now features a link to a peptide company where followers can purchase GLP-1 compounds, specifically Retatrutide. This is the same substance she credits for her transformation.

The website includes a disclaimer stating products are “for research purposes only and not human consumption” and requires users to be over 21, though no actual age verification system exists.

Her content has shifted entirely to focus on these. Every post now discusses peptides and weight loss, while she frequently reposts content that appears to romanticize extreme thinness. Comment sections on her videos are filled with young women asking where to purchase the substances, hoping to replicate her results.

The engagement tells its own story. Before her weight loss journey, her posts received minimal attention. Now, nearly every piece of content goes viral, likely reinforcing the behavior and creating a financial incentive to continue promoting these products.

Health professionals like Coach Kolton emphasize that such rapid weight loss, particularly when achieved through appetite suppressants alone, bypasses fundamental healthy habits.

“If you think that losing weight is the best option for you, Retatrutide shouldn’t be your first choice. No GLP-1 should be your first choice,” Coach Kolton stated. He recommends that individuals first try structured, healthy eating plans and regular physical activity before considering any pharmaceutical intervention.

While GLP-1 treatments have shown legitimate benefits for obesity treatment under medical supervision, experts warn that purchasing these compounds online without proper guidance presents serious risks, especially for young people who may not need weight loss at all.

When someone who appeared healthy at a normal weight drops to 95 pounds and builds a business model around that transformation, it raises questions about the influence social media platforms have on body image and the ease with which unregulated substances can be marketed to vulnerable audiences.
