Sean Strickland is gearing up for his much-anticipated return to the Octagon on Saturday night. There he will face off against Paulo Costa at UFC 302 in New Jersey.
During the media event, Strickland was unexpectedly asked about his thoughts on Tom Brady’s reaction to jokes made on his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen during a Netflix roast. Never one to mince words, Strickland launched into a scathing critique of the former NFL star.
Strickland didn’t hold back, expressing his disdain for Brady’s response to the roast. He said bluntly: “Tom Brady is a c—, he got mad, don’t talk about my wife, now listen you f—ing p—y, you signed up to get made fun of and you can’t f—ing do it…he handled that like a f—ing woman, you act like f—ing girl, pet f—-ing goats, pose for g– f–ing photos, man the f— up.”
Strickland’s harsh words about Brady aren’t surprising to those familiar with his views. The UFC has a long-standing disdain for celebrities and what he perceives as the superficial nature of celebrity culture. He has frequently voiced his opinion that many celebrities are out of touch with reality and lack the resilience he believes is essential.
Despite the media frenzy over his comments, Strickland remains focused on his primary goal: defeating Paulo Costa. The bout at UFC 302 promises to be a high-stakes match. Strickland has been training intensively, determined to secure a victory and make a significant impact in the UFC rankings.
During the interview, a reporter questioned Strickland about him possibly competing in the BKFC. Strickland said that he would not compete there and levelled serious charges against them.
He stated: “How much would I fight fu*king bare-knuckle for? Nothing they would pay me…Bare-knuckle, you want to talk about fu*king crooks, they’re paying their guys sh*t. [BKFC]…is one of those organizations where you hear these numbers, it’s all bullsh*t…If you look at the lowest rung of the guys, they’re fu*king breaking their hands, breaking their orbitals…making couple thousand bucks…”
Details about the purse for the BKFC “KnuckleMania” 4 event were just made public by the CSAC. Sydney Smith and Crystal Pittman reportedly won $500 at the bottom stack of the deck.
