Controversial rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine got a couple of injuries as a result of an encounter with a group of men at an LA Fitness gym in South Florida.
The resulting in injuries so severe that he had to be transported to a hospital via ambulance. The attack, which occurred while the rapper was inside the sauna, was allegedly unprovoked, and the culprits fled the scene after.
According to 6ix9ine’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, the rapper tried to fend off the attackers, but there were too many of them. He did not have security with him at the time of the incident. Gym staff alerted a manager, who called the police and EMS. The rapper was then rushed to a hospital.
A video obtained shows the extent of the damage to 6ix9ine’s face, with visible gashes and swelling. In addition, he suffered injuries to his jaw, ribs, and back.
Following the attack, Lazzaro plans to call the Feds to ensure that 6ix9ine receives the necessary protection. It is uncertain if the gym attack is related to the rapper’s previous cooperation with authorities that led to the imprisonment of some of his associates.
