Promoter predicts 1M PPV sales for Logan Paul vs Dillon Danis card

Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn gave his thoughts on the upcoming KSI vs Tommy Fury boxing match. He believes that the event could sell 1 million PPV.

Eddie Hearn is a renowned boxing promoter from the UK who is also a chairman of Matchroom Sports, a sports promotion company. The 44-year-old has organized and promoted a lot of huge boxing events.

During a recent interview, Hearn talked about the upcoming KSI vs Tommy Fury boxing event. He explained how he could understand how the event was very hyped for the younger audience.

“That show, KSI and Tommy Fury will do massive numbers. I see it (the card), and I think it’s great. If I were in my twenties, I would be all over it, but I feel like I have a job to do for boxing.” Hearn said.

He then went on to discuss the PPV model for the event and how it impacts the commercial aspect. He said that DAZN’s revenue model could breach a total of 1 million buys in the UK alone.

“I’m not sure how much legs there’s in pay-per-view beyond big, big fights to consistently hit numbers. But no, not from DAZN… Because it’s a different model, you know. They say the main reason that the PPV model was introduced with DAZN was that so they could bring those big fights to DAZN.” Hearn said in a talk with Seconds Out.

He added, “If you want AJ on your platform, you need that functionality. They brought in that functionality and it allows them to do those big fights. KSI against Tommy Fury is a good example. I know it’s not necessarily our cup of tea. But it’s massive, massive! Could do a million buys on DAZN.”

KSI vs Tommy Fury will clash at MF & DAZN: X Series – The Prime Card, which will be held on October 14. The two are famous names in the UK. KSI is a Youtube star who often compete against fellow influencers, while Fury is an undefeated professional boxer who is on the rise.

Not just them. The rest of the cards are also filled with a lot of famous influencers and social media personalities. The co-main event will feature a bout between Youtube star Logan Paul and BJJ specialist Dillon Danis, whose feud has been taking over social media. There are also other influencers who aren’t new in boxing, such as Salt Papi, Slim Albaher, Deen the Great, Walid Sharks, Swarmz, and Ryan Taylor.
