Popular YouTuber Brian Davis weighs in on Rose Namajunas and Pat Barry: ‘It’s not healthy for her’

Rose Namajunas lost her strawweight title to Carla Esparza at UFC 274 last Saturday by split decision.

Both fighters had been heavily criticized for their lackluster performance, landing only 58 strikes in 25 minutes.

The fight was labeled by many as the worst championship title fight in UFC history, Namajunas has apologized.

“Sorry to everyone I f****d up definitely feel like a sh***y human being but this will make me better hats off to Carla and thanks to everyone who’s been there for me.” Namajunas wrote on her Instagram account.

While the current champion, Carla Esparza, also received her share of criticism, Namajunas seems to be dealing with a lot more backlash, especially after her fiance and coach Pat Barry. Barry went on the MMA hour and described it as the ‘perfect game plan’.

Famous YouTuber True Geordie slammed Barry in his recent video. He also thought that a “yes-man” like Barry is unsuitable to be in Namajunas’ team.

“Oh bro! No… You are a yes-man, you are a f*****g yes-man. You cannot be happy with your fighter losing a title by barely throwing punches in a fight for f*****g 25 minutes.”

“It is one of the worst performances a champion has ever had, and he is sitting there, bold-face lying, not only about his fighter but about his missus.”

“It’s not healthy for her. It’s just not. This is how people lose. This is how yes-man makes you lose.”

Meanwhile Namajunas has been vocal about wanting to get back out there. An instant rematch is highly unlikely, as per UFC President Dana White.

In the post-fight press conference, he stated that he wanted to give the title shot to the winner of Joanna Jędrzejczyk vs Weili Zhang.
