On the day Raul Rosas Jr. was born, Jorge Masvidal’s professional MMA record was already 5-0

The UFC 287 is set to take place on April 9 in Miami, Florida, and it promises to be a stacked event.

The card features a middleweight title rematch between Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya as the main event, and a co-main event that sees welterweight star Jorge Masvidal facing off against Gilbert Burns. Additionally, the card opens with a bantamweight bout featuring Raul Rosas Jr. and Christian Rodriguez.

The middleweight title rematch between Pereira and Adesanya is the highlight of the event. This will be their second meeting in the UFC, and their fourth match overall since their kickboxing days. Both have impressive records and are looking to cement their status as one of the best middleweights in the world.

Masvidal is set to face a tough opponent in Burns, who is considered to be in his prime and is a well-rounded athlete. Masvidal, on the other hand, is 38 years old and coming off three consecutive losses. If he loses this, he has hinted that he may retire from the sport. However, if he manages to come out victorious, he will try and negotiate a title shot against Leon Edwards.

The opening bout of the main event sees UFC bantamweight prospect Rosas Jr. taking on Rodriguez. Rosas Jr. is just 18 years old and has already made a name for himself, winning his UFC debut and boasting an undefeated record of 7-0. Rodriguez, meanwhile, has an impressive record of 8-1.

One interesting aspect of the event is the huge age gap between Masvidal and Rosas Jr. They are 20 years apart and both competing in the UFC. It is rare to see such a large age gap between guys on the same card.
