The looksmaxxing community has witnessed yet another humbling moment for one of its most prominent personalities. Androgenic, a self-proclaimed “Chad” known for critiquing the appearances of others online, found himself at the center of ridicule after being exposed for secretly padding his shoulders with socks during a gathering at fellow content creator Clavicular’s newly purchased mansion.
The moment was captured on camera by Ed Matthews, who initially had no idea what was hidden beneath Androgenic’s shirt.

At first glance, Matthews believed the influencer’s broad shoulders were the result of an impressive physique. However, that perception quickly changed once the truth was revealed.
Androgenic had apparently stuffed rolled-up socks into the sleeves of his shirt in an attempt to exaggerate the size of his deltoids and present himself as more physically imposing. When confronted, he attempted to frame the padding as a form of training aid rather than an attempt to deceive viewers.
“These are socks right here,” Androgenic admitted when the padding was discovered, quickly adding, “This is so I get 28 inch deltoid.”
Matthews’ reaction summed up the confusion in the room once the truth became clear.
“Are there socks in your f**king arms?”
“Yo, I was thinking, ‘Nah, this guy’s built!’ You actually fooled me like that!” Matthews said, visibly surprised by the discovery.
The explanation did little to soften the embarrassment. As the socks were revealed to be nothing more than makeshift shoulder pads, Matthews laughed off the situation.
“Bro, oh no,” he said. “Nah, that is moist, bro.”
Androgenic the hurried to reclaim the props that had just exposed him.
“Hey, give my shoulder pad, man,” he said, asking for the socks back.
Additionally, viewers noticed that during the broadcast at Clavicular’s house, Androgenic had been seen repeatedly adjusting something beneath his sleeves.
He was repositioning the rolled-up socks he had tucked inside his sleeves to maintain the illusion of larger shoulders.

Androgenic built much of his online following by rating and critiquing other people’s appearances, often positioning himself as a top-tier example of male attractiveness and physical dominance.
The shoulder-pad incident is also just the latest in a series of awkward public moments for the influencer. Only weeks earlier, he went viral after his wig was knocked off during a separate broadcast, briefly exposing what appeared to be a noticeably thinning hairline.
Addressing the situation on camera afterward, Androgenic attempted to explain the mishap.
“I just got a hair transplant, bro. All right,” he said.
Content creator TsjGetEm was among those who responded to the controversy, pointing out what he viewed as a glaring contradiction in Androgenic’s behavior.
“You talk about other people. You laugh at other people for the way they look, but you’re over here frauding with a wig on as a grown man,” TsjGetEm said. He added dramatically: “I might actually cry because number one Chad just… he just got mogged. He got caught for wigmaxxing. He’s a fraud. Oh my god.”
