Logan Paul regretful Nate Diaz passed up facing him in WWE

According to Logan Paul, former UFC lightweight title contender Nate Diaz was extended an invitation to join the WWE after parting ways with the UFC.

After emerging victorious in Season 5 of the TUF reality show, Diaz embarked on an impressive 15-year journey with the UFC. His prowess and determination made him a prominent figure within the organization.

Originally slated to face the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev in his final bout at UFC 279, Diaz’s plans took an unexpected turn when Chimaev failed to make weight. This led to a showdown with fellow seasoned veteran Tony Ferguson. Diaz ended up winning the match in a fourth-round submission victory.

Reports of Diaz receiving an offer to join the WWE surfaced in August, as revealed by his manager Zach Rosenfield. This information was recently confirmed by Logan Paul during an interview on The MMA Hour.

He said: “Yeah, they were [offered it]. You know why I think it didn’t come to fruition? I don’t know. I think Nate wanted to fight Jake. There’s no doubt that any event that I do with the WWE would be massive. They’re one of the biggest sports organizations on the planet. Where’s the hesitation? I don’t understand it. I’m sure he has his reasons.”

However, Diaz opted for a venture into the world of professional boxing. He faced off against Logan’s brother, Jake Paul.

Despite Jake Paul holding a significant edge in boxing experience, Diaz engaged in a riveting bout. Ultimately, the match resulted in Jake’s unanimous decision victory.

Logan Paul has predominantly dedicated his efforts to his WWE pursuits, but he is poised to make a return to the boxing ring for the first time since 2021. Scheduled for October 14, Paul will face Bellator veteran and Conor McGregor’s teammate Dillon Danis in what promises to be a captivating match.
