Logan Paul calls out Football superstar Lionel Messi for a boxing match

Social media personality and WWE superstar Logan Paul has issued a challenge to football legend Lionel Messi, proposing to settle their ongoing business dispute in the boxing ring.

The conflict stems from a legal battle between Paul’s Prime Hydration and Messi’s Mas+, which launched in June 2024. Fans quickly noticed similarities between the two brands’ packaging designs, leading to a series of lawsuits.

This isn’t the first time Logan Paul called out a tiny man this week – previously he made headlines for his take on Boxer Gervonta Davis.

Logan Paul has stirred controversy by claiming he would “kill” undefeated boxing champion Gervonta Davis in a hypothetical match, emphasizing his size advantage. Drawing from his experience against Floyd Mayweather, Paul argued that skill can only go so far when weight disparities come into play. While he acknowledged Davis as a great boxer, he suggested the lightweight champion should “stay in his lane.” The comments have ignited debate across social media, though Davis has yet to respond. With Paul competing at a much higher weight class, the matchup remains purely speculative, but the bold assertion has certainly kept the spotlight on him.

Mas+ initiated legal action against Prime Hydration in October, citing “anti-competitive” business practices and claiming Prime had contacted them to cease selling their product until packaging changes were made. Prime responded with a countersuit in November, alleging trademark infringement due to comparable label designs and bottle shapes.

On February 12, 2025, Paul took to TikTok with a message for the Argentine superstar. “Brother, you copied us!” Paul declared. “Everyone saw it. They saw what you did. Everyone notices it. …and then we got sued. Hold on, wait — what? This ain’t justice!”

He continued: “So we countersued, obviously. If you can’t beat the best, you gotta be the best. But that’s illegal. That’s trademark infringement. We’re holding him accountable, and it’s harassment?”

Paul then presented his unique proposition: “Hey, hey, all jokes aside, I will consider [dropping the lawsuit] if Logan Paul vs Messi 2025. I’ll see you in the ring!”

This challenge follows Paul’s established pattern of high-profile matches, including his brother Jake’s recent exhibition with Mike Tyson in November 2024, and Logan’s own 2021 exhibition with Floyd Mayweather.

As of now, Messi has not responded to Paul’s challenge. Prime Hydration has gained significant momentum since its 2022 launch, securing partnerships with the UFC, Los Angeles Lakers, and the Dodgers.
