Kurt Angle reveals he and Brock Lesnar Had A REAL Wrestling Fight Behind the Scenes

During an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, legendary pro wrestler Kurt Angle dropped a bombshell – he and Brock Lesnar, one of the most dominant forces in pro wrestling history, engaged in a legitimate wrestling match behind the scenes.

Angle recounted how tensions were building between the two after Lesnar allegedly claimed he could beat Angle in a real wrestling match upon being called up from OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling). Initially dismissing it as trash talk, Angle decided to call Lesnar’s bluff.

“The guy comes to me and says, ‘Hey, Brock said he could beat you in a wrestle match.’ So I went up to Brock, and I said, ‘Let’s get in the ring right now,'” Angle revealed. However, Lesnar tried to avoid the situation at first.

A week later, Angle witnessed an intensity seldom seen, as the young Lesnar was slamming the 530-pound Big Show during training. “I’m like, ‘Holy shit. I don’t know if I could beat this guy,'” Angle admitted.

With Big Show’s reluctant permission, Angle sneaked into the ring and tapped Lesnar to initiate an impromptu match. What transpired was 15 minutes of grueling action between the Olympic gold medalist and the freak athlete.

“The wrestlers tell you that I kicked his ass, that I dominated him, that’s not true,” Angle clarified. “I beat him, but I didn’t beat him (decisively).” He took Lesnar down twice, while Lesnar failed to take him down even once.

The fight served as a humbling reminder of Lesnar’s immense physical talents to Angle. “He’s the real deal…I’m surprised he didn’t train for the Olympics,” Angle stated, praising Lesnar as perhaps the greatest athlete he’s ever stepped into the ring with.
