Kamaru Usman Reacts To Covington/Masvidal Brawl In Miami

The UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman has shared his thoughts on the recent clash between Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington at a restaurant in Miami.

Masvidal and Covington were allegedly involved in an altercation outside of Papi Steakhouse in Miami Florida on Monday night, just a couple of weeks after the two faced each other in the octagon.

Covington was at a dinner with the Nelk Boys before Masvidal, who was wearing a surgical mask and hoodie, attacked Covington and landed two punches on his face.

‘Gamebred’ posted a clip on social media confirming the attack.

“Calling this the show-your-face challenge, you know?” Masvidal said in the video. “Um, what’s up? I’m from Dade County. You talk that s–t, you gotta back it up. That’s how my city rolls, man.”

Reacting to the scuffle, Kamaru Usman then took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the matter while his former opponents.

“This is not how we conduct our selves in this house ??? ?????” Usman tweet.

‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ has referred to both Masvidal and Covington as his “sons” considering he has beaten both of them.

Usman has beaten Masvidal via a lackluster one-sided decision during the main event of UFC 251, and settled the rivalry with a devastating knockout on the rematch at UFC 261.

While with Covington, his matches were much closer – he  stopped ‘Chaos’ by a fifth-round TKO after an exhausting back and forth and a close unanimous decision in the rematch.

Usman’s taunt of his two opponents doesn’t stop there as he also replied to a fan that alluded to the brawl.

“This is unacceptable,” Usman replied. “I will have a hard TALK with both when they get home.”

Covington  reportedly pressed charges against Masvidal, who is considered a suspect for felony battery according to the Miami Beach police report.
