Joe Rogan: We’re just a few years away from everyone being genetically engineered to be hot

During a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience featuring comedian Carrot Top, the conversation took an unexpected turn toward the future of genetic engineering and human enhancement. While discussing the rapid advancement of technology and artificial intelligence, Rogan made a bold prediction.

“We’re just about four or five years away from there being able to genetically engineer you anyway,” Rogan told his guest. “They’re going to be able to like eliminate all obesity. Obesity is going to be out the window probably. At least with people who have the money for the procedure.”

The podcast host painted a vivid picture of a not-so-distant future where genetic manipulation could fundamentally alter human appearance and physical characteristics. “They’ll probably just lay paste around your body. The fat will burn away and you’ll come out looking like Chris Evans probably Captain America,” he speculated.

But Rogan’s vision extends far beyond just weight management. He suggested that genetic engineering will eventually allow people to customize their appearance entirely.

“Once it really gets good, once they really start, you know, curing certain diseases and figuring stuff out and they ratchet up and they can start, they’ll start going, ‘Who wants to be good-looking? Who wants a giant di*k? Who wants the biggest a*s?'”

This technological revolution according to Rogan will create a world where everyone has access to conventional attractiveness. “It’s just gonna 100% people are going to all look like cartoons. We’re all going to be cartoons,” he predicted. “We’re all going to look like Thor and the women will look like Prime Jennifer. The whole world’s hot.”

When asked what such a world would be like, Rogan’s response was enthusiastic: “Fun. It’s going to be fun, dude. It’s going to be awesome. Everybody gets to play. Everybody’s hot. It’s going to be great.”

However, Rogan also acknowledged potential downsides to this genetically enhanced future. He suggested that universal attractiveness might eliminate the drive for achievement and creativity. “All inventions will cease. Instantaneously. We will never invent a single thing after that. There will be no more music. Everyone’s going to be hot. There’ll be no motivation whatsoever.”
