Dana White Reacts To Viral Barstool Brawl Where Uber Driver Manhandled Security Guard: I Didn’t Think That Kid Got Hurt That Bad

Dana White addressed a viral video showing an Uber Eats driver attacking a security guard outside a Barstool Sports event. During a recent episode of the Spinning Back Fist Show, the two talked about the altercation, and it was revealed that the security guard faced a collapsed lung.

According to the interviewer, the confrontation began over a food delivery dispute.

“So, there’s a full video on Dave Portnoy’s Instagram, but it gives that the Uber Eats driver was supposed to deliver the food and then he was walking away with it,” he said. “And then one of our employees was like, ‘Hey, like you’re leaving with my food. Give me my food.’ And then he was about to leave and then he started yelling at our security guard, was like, ‘Oh, what’s going on?’ He goes out.”

“Then he started to get in the security guard’s face. He threw something at the security guard, kind of sized him up a little bit and the security guard was like, ‘Okay, I mean I get like if this is my job, but it’s usually a pretty boring job, but we got to get into a fig ht.'”

The interviewer described the driver as an imposing figure who quickly overwhelmed the security guard. “And then this guy who was like 6’1″, probably 230 lbs (104 kg),” the interviewer said.

“He had dressed like he was playing hockey or something,” White said.

The interviewer continued, “He was like the Fox Sports Gladiator or like the guy robot. He had like the helmet on. I felt bad for my guy Dan, our security guard. Great guy, but he was just, this guy was born to fig ht. Whoever he should be in Power Slap, the way he was ground and pounding, and luckily we had some of our other employees run in and they held him down.”

According to the interviewer, the driver was arrested following the incident but returned to work almost immediately. “Ended up getting arrested. Obviously New York City was probably back on the streets very soon,” he said.

“He was delivering an hour later,” White added.

The interviewer responded, “Yeah, he was delivering an hour later. Just a little slap on the wrist.”

The interviewer also noted that the woman who ordered the food, believed to have placed a Chick-fil-A order, may not have even received her meal. Meanwhile, the security guard’s injuries turned out to be more serious than initially apparent from the footage.

“He had a, I think, a lung, a collapsed lung,” the interviewer said. He added that the security guard later appeared on one of Barstool’s shows with a visible black eye.

“He’s doing all right, but he’s been, there was a photo of him,” the interviewer said.

White admitted that he did not realize how seriously the security guard had been injured from watching the video alone. White stated, “Yeah, that’s terrible. I didn’t realize he had a collapse. I didn’t think it was that bad. When I when I saw the fig ht online, you know, looked like a scrap. Everybody came out and and and and dove on the kid and help. I didn’t think that kid got hurt that bad.”
