Joe Rogan couldn’t contain his amusement when discussing South Park’s latest Trump-themed episode during a recent conversation with former CIA officer Mike Baker on The Joe Rogan Experience. The comedian and podcast host was visibly entertained by the animated series’ characteristically irreverent take on the president.
“Did you see the South Park episode?” Rogan asked Baker enthusiastically during their wide-ranging discussion. “They did a Donald Trump one with Satan. It’s f**king hilarious.”
Baker, who admitted he hadn’t caught the particular episode despite being a longtime fan of the show, agreed that South Park consistently pushes boundaries. “I raised my three boys on that show, much to my wife’s horror,” Baker revealed.
Rogan’s excitement about the episode led him to quote comedian Bridget Phetasy’s observation about South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone: “When you think that they have reached the bottom of the highest level of not giving a f**k, they reach unseen levels.”
The discussion highlighted South Park’s long history of provocative storytelling, with both men recalling previous episodes that pushed the envelope. Baker referenced the notorious “Woodland Creatures” Christmas special, while Rogan brought up other memorable moments from the show’s extensive catalog of controversial content.
“They don’t give a f**k, dude. They haven’t given a f**k since the beginning and it’s the greatest show of all time,” Rogan declared.
Rogan also mentions the cartoon format allows creators unprecedented freedom: “It’s so beautiful because they have cartoons and you can do things with cartoons you could never do with real people.”
