Jake Paul has made a remarkable transition into the world of combat sports. Since his debut in 2018, he has been actively involved in the boxing scene.
In his boxing career, Jake Paul has encountered various formidable opponents. He began by finishing Ben Askren and proceeded to a split decision win against Tyron Woodley.
In their rematch, Paul delivered a strong knockout and solidified his prowess as a powerful striker. Paul also competed against the legendary Anderson Silva, which resulted in a decision victory for Paul. But his unbeaten record faced a setback when he faced Tommy Fury in February this year.
Paul is currently scheduled to compete against Nate Diaz in a boxing match in August.
Meanwhile Diaz became a household name thanks to his unique style, charisma and resilience. Diaz (and his brother) have been competing in MMA for close to 20 years. He always had star power, however getting matched with Conor McGregor catapulted him onto a while new level. Despite that, he’s not willing to face just anyone in MMA.
In a surprising turn of events, Jake Paul reveals that MMA icon Nate Diaz has declined an MMA bout against him. Despite Paul’s claim, there is no concrete evidence to support this notion currently.
Paul expressed his desire to compete against Diaz in the cage, but the long-time MMA veteran declined the offer for undisclosed reasons. Paul didn’t say why he declined it, whether it was because the money wasn’t enough or for some other reason. On the other hand, Nate Diaz hasn’t said anything either to confirm or reject the notion.
Diaz has been hitting the pads hard and is eager to prove his worth.
Recently Conor McGregor vouched for Diaz saying
“I fancy him for it to be honest,” said McGregor when asked who he thinks will win Diaz vs. Paul. “The other cat is a bit windy. He’s a donkey. The guy’s a donkey, the other cat. But a donkey has a kick as well. You just have to be worried about that.”
“I just think it should be Nate. It will be Nate.”
