Jake Paul blames a wet dream he had before Tommy Fury event for loss

Jake Paul’s boxing career has been nothing short of controversial. After years of buildup, he finally faced off against a professional boxer. Paul faced Tommy Fury on February 26, resulting in a split decision win for the Fury family.

Despite the defeat, rematch talks have already kicked off, and the younger Paul brother is looking to redeem himself. However, in a recent podcast appearance, Jake revealed an unexpected factor that contributed to his loss: a wet dream.

Jake Paul’s buildup seemingly did more harm than good. While boxers typically point to reasons like lack of training or not feeling 100% on the day of the event to explain their losses, Paul honed in on a different factor. Speaking on the Impaulsive podcast, he discussed how a wet dream impacted his energy levels, leading to a lackluster performance in the ring.

Jake Paul was attempting to use a common tactic in boxing, referred to as “building your batch.” This involves intentionally not releasing to build up testosterone levels in the body. In the two weeks leading up to his event against Tommy Fury,

Jake cut off any foul play to preserve his energy for the bout. However, the buildup of testosterone came crashing down when he had a wet dream the night before the event.

According to Jake, the wet dream caused him to wake up in a panic. With two weeks of testosterone built up in his body, he found himself feeling weak and lackadaisical.

This lack of energy likely contributed to his loss against Tommy Fury. While it may seem like an odd excuse, Jake’s brother Logan Paul revealed that this phenomenon is actually commonplace in boxing.

Ronda Rousey once addressed similar strategies during her famous UFC win streak. Though it’s the complete opposite for women.

Despite the loss, Jake Paul is not deterred. He has already announced a rematch against Tommy Fury, and this time, he’ll be more prepared than ever. It’s been confirmed that the two are discussing a July return.

In the world of boxing, every little factor can make a big difference. For Jake Paul, a wet dream may have made all the difference. It’s certainly a gifted excuse.
