GLORY kickboxer Michael Duut SHOT IN BOTH LEGS over horse dispute in front of his home

GLORY kickboxing veteran Michael Duut found himself in the crosshairs of an unexpected altercation outside his residence at the De Kring trailer park, situated between Groningen and Hoogkerk. The 34-year-old athlete, known for his impressive performances in the ring, was wounded in both legs during a confrontation that reportedly stemmed from a dispute over a horse.

According to Duut’s friend, Alex Soze, the incident unfolded on Wednesday evening when tensions escalated between Duut’s family and the owner of a horse. The disagreement apparently originated at a riding school in Donderen, where Duut’s nephew had been riding the animal in question.

The situation took a dangerous turn when the horse’s owner arrived at Duut’s home, visibly agitated. Witnesses report that the individual was shouting and banging on the door, prompting Duut to step outside to address the commotion. In a startling escalation, the confrontation turned violent when the aggressor allegedly produced a firearm and opened fire, striking Duut in both legs.

Emergency services were quickly called to the scene, and Duut was rushed to a nearby hospital. Reports indicate that his condition has been stabilized, bringing relief to fans and fellow athletes alike.

Duut, affectionately known as the “Dream Crusher” in the kickboxing community, has been a staple of the GLORY promotion since his debut at GLORY 5 in 2013. His most recent appearance in the ring was in April of the previous year, where he faced off against Mohamed Amine at GLORY 85.
