Boxing sensation Gervonta Davis has expressed interest in a potential matchup with social media star turned boxer Jake Paul.
During a recent interview, when asked about his future plans and the possibility of following a path similar to Jake Paul’s, Davis initially responded with a laugh before revealing his thoughts on the matter.
“I would,” Davis admitted, showing genuine interest in the prospect of competing against the YouTuber-turned-boxer.
The undefeated professional boxer went on to specifically name Jake Paul as his preferred celebrity opponent, acknowledging Paul’s dedication to the sport. “He definitely be in the gym so I will consider him a boxer,” Davis said, giving credit to Paul’s commitment to training.
Davis also discussed potential weight considerations for such a matchup, suggesting a range between 195 to 200 pounds would be suitable. This would require Davis to move up significantly from his current weight class.
The revelation has already generated buzz in the boxing community, as both athletes have substantial followings and have proven their ability to draw large audiences to their events.
