(Video) Guy Picks A Fight With A Retired World Champion Boxer

The former super featherweight boxing world champion, Rick Rocky Lockridge, was just minding his own business when a random abusive man approached him and tried to mess with him.

Lockridge who was already retired when this incident happened didn’t let the man ruin his day.

The random guy was wearing a red t-shirt and a red cap when he picked on the professional boxer who was 54 years old at the time of the incident. At first he was trash-talking Lockridge from afar. Seeing how Lockridge didn’t even care to look at him the guy decided to walk towards the boxer.

As a boxer, Lockridge was best known for handing Roger Mayweather his first loss with knockout in 1984. This victory won him the WBA world super featherweight title.

At this moment the crowd gathered and was telling the abusive man not to continue with this behavior. Some people there recognized that it was Rocky Lockridge he was trying to provoke.

Rocky Lockridge hung up his boxing gloves in 1991, but clearly didn’t lose his touch. He threw a basic punch right on the guy’s face and he lost consciousness in an instant. From the video footage, it can be seen that Lockridge was about to rain down punches but decided not to. He then left the guy flat on the ground.

After losing back-to-back against Tony Lopez in 1989, Rocky Lockridge chose to retire from the boxing world. 30 months after his original retirement, Lockridge attempted a comeback under new management in Washington, but both his fights in this period ended in losses. In 2006 Lockridge suffered a stroke. He died in 2019 at the age of 60.
