Former UFC star Darren Till wants to box Dillon Danis on Paul vs Diaz undercard

Former UFC contender Darren Till has recently taken to social media to showcase his impressive new jacked build. Additionally, he has issued a challenge to Dillon Danis for a boxing match on the undercard of the highly anticipated Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz event scheduled for August 5.

Once a prominent figure in the UFC, Darren Till had an undefeated record with 17 victories and climbed the welterweight rankings, eventually facing the then-champion Tyron Woodley in 2018. Despite his formidable performance, Till fell short in his bid to seize the championship title.

Following his defeat against Jorge Masvidal, Till made a move to the middleweight division and secured a victory against Kevin Gastelum. However, he faced a series of setbacks, experiencing three consecutive losses against Robert Whittaker, Derek Brunson, and Dricus du Plessis. With four of these last six bouts ending in finishes, Till’s recent record stands at 1-5.

Several months ago, the UFC announced Till’s removal from its roster. However, the 30-year-old insists that this decision is merely temporary. He clarified that the UFC granted him time to address an underlying knee injury that had contributed to his challenges.

On his active social media presence, Till recently shared a series of pictures on his Twitter account, unveiling his new muscular and impressive physique. Evidently, Till has been diligently working out to gain muscle and aims to make a triumphant return to the octagon.

“Currently in the best shape of my life. Fit, strong, and disciplined. Coming into my prime… Had doubters all my life and will prove them all wrong soon enough. Should have some fight news soon,” Till wrote in the caption alongside the images.

However, before reentering the UFC, Till has a different plan in mind. He has issued a call-out to controversial MMA personality Dillon Danis for a boxing match. The proposed bout is to take place on the undercard of the much-anticipated boxing event featuring Jake Paul and Nate Diaz.

“Dillon Danis, I heard the Jake Paul X Nate Diaz sales aren’t going 2 good. I’ll jump on the undercard with you and let you knock me out for a few quid if you fancy it, mate. Respectfully,” Till tweeted.

Dillon Danis, known for being Conor McGregor’s teammate and sparring partner, has been involved in numerous feuds with internet celebrities and fellow athletes. While he has competed twice in professional MMA within Bellator, he has yet to make a comeback since 2019. Despite this, Danis boasts several accomplishments in BJJ competitions.

Responding to Till’s challenge, Danis expressed interest in the bout while asserting his dominance.

“In MMA, this would result in a quick and one-sided fight for me. Why understandable he wants a boxing contest, but [Darren Till] doesn’t seem to understand that I would dominate him in any sport with ease. Remember, once a quitter, always one b*tch,” Danis stated on Twitter.
