Former boxing champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Arrested

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is the 37-year-old former boxing champion and son of the iconic Mexican boxer Julio Cesar Chavez Sr.

He recently faced arrest in Los Angeles for the illegal possession of an assault ri*le. The incident unfolded following a concerned fan’s distress call to law enforcement, fearing for the safety of Chavez Jr. and others around him.

The LAPD swiftly responded to the distress call, arriving at Chavez Jr.’s residence around 1:30 PM. Upon granting permission to the officers to enter his premises, they discovered the presence of the illegal assault r*fle.

Sources within law enforcement disclosed that the weapon in question was an untraceable “ghost gun.”

Subsequently, Chavez Jr. was taken into custody by the LAPD and transported to the Valley Jail in Van Nuys for booking procedures. Weighing in at 6’1″ and 170 lbs., the former WBC middleweight champion may face legal repercussions.

This unfortunate incident isn’t the first time concerns about Julio’s well-being have surfaced. Chavez Sr. himself expressed apprehensions about his son’s safety, openly sharing his worries that Julio could be heading down a dangerous path.

Chavez Sr. released a statement saying: “Thank you for being on the lookout and worrying about my son Julio. Unfortunately, I confirm the news that spread today. My son Julio Cesar Chavez Jr was arrested and we are working together with his lawyers to resolve his legal situation.”

While unable to provide extensive details due to ongoing legal proceedings, Chavez Sr. expressed hope for a positive turn of events, emphasizing the need for support during this challenging period.

He continued: “It’s been a long road, but I don’t lose faith. I pray to God that this is the moment that finally propels my son towards a useful and happy life.

I ask for your understanding, [but] due to legal issues we cannot provide more information. His lawyer Guadalupe Valencia is with him at the moment.”
