Fitness influencer explains he only took PEDs because there’s big number of people who are passionately for and against it

Fitness influencer Shane “Togi” Stoffer opened up about his controversial decision to use PEDs in a recent discussion on The Iced Coffee Hour podcast. He cited the passionate community divide as a key motivation behind his choice.

Shane, who has built a significant following in the fitness space, explained that his st**oid use wasn’t purely about physical enhancement but rather a calculated move to generate engagement from both sides of a heated debate.

“I need to get famous,” he admitted, describing his strategic thinking during a financially difficult period. “What’s something that I’m interested in has a large audience of people that really like it, that will like a video, and a large audience of people that dislike it, that are going to make hate comments.”

The influencer revealed that he spent considerable time studying successful content creators, analyzing what made certain personalities go viral. His research led him to conclude that the most effective approach required content that would simultaneously attract passionate supporters and equally passionate critics. PEDs, he realized, represented the perfect storm for viral content.

“Like the perfect storm for going viral,” Shane explained. “You need something that people hate and love and large audiences.”

Shane’s candid admission challenges the common perception that influencers simply stumble into controversial content. Instead, his story reveals a deliberate strategy where the polarizing nature of PED use became a vehicle for career advancement.

The fitness community’s well-documented split on st**oid use provided exactly the type of passionate engagement he needed to break through the crowded social media landscape.

The influencer acknowledged that his decision came with significant health risks, but emphasized that he viewed it as a necessary gamble during a desperate financial period.
