Female Volleyball Player Comes Clean About Competitive Advantage Her Trans Teammate Has

In a recent interview on The Megyn Kelly Show, Brooke Slusser, co-captain of the San Jose State women’s volleyball team, bravely spoke out about the controversial inclusion of a trans player, Blair, on her team and the unfair competitive advantage it creates.

Slusser described the stark differences in physical capabilities between Blair and the female players, noting the significantly higher jumps, more powerful spikes, and overall dominance on the court. She recounted an incident where Blair spiked a ball into an opponent’s face, causing visible injury and embarrassment.

“Right now, I mean, these girls grow up just wanting to play D1. It’s your dream, and now we’re at the point where we’re barely talking about volleyball. We’re only talking about how to deal with the outside noise of all of this, how to handle it, and how to deal with it. But we don’t have anyone in the school really telling us how to do those things—just telling us to be quiet, be happy, and that nothing’s going to change. So, I think at the end of the day, I just got so fed up. I was like, I want to be able to make this change for other people coming into collegiate sports.”

“I mean, at the end of the day, it’s just not right. Again, male and female—there’s a reason there’s men’s sports and women’s sports. That didn’t start for nothing. So, at the end of the day, if this is going to keep going the way it’s going, why wouldn’t coaches just recruit a full team of men if they’re allowed to be in women’s sports? I mean, you would obviously win everything. It’s a no-brainer.”

The volleyball player expressed serious safety concerns, revealing that she and her teammates often have to dodge Blair’s powerful hits during practice. Slusser stated she has refused to play against Blair without at least some defensive blockers at the net, though she admitted this does little to mitigate the danger.

Slusser’s parents were reportedly outraged upon learning about the situation, feeling betrayed by coaches who had promised to care for their daughter. The player described the emotional toll on the team, with many feeling their concerns were being ignored in favor of protecting Blair’s interests.

Despite initial pressure to remain silent, Slusser decided to speak out and join a lawsuit against the university. She emphasized her desire to prevent other athletes from experiencing similar situations, expressing frustration with the lack of support from school administrators.
