A fan-made video displayed a compilation of every submission in the UFC in 2022. The fast-paced video lasts for 7 minutes and concluded with how awesome the year 2022 was for MMA.

UFC, the biggest MMA promotion in the world, is taking a big break before continuing weekly events. The organization is done holding events in 2022 and will continue late in January of next year.

The latest event was UFC Vegas 66 on December 17 headlined by a middleweight match between Sean Strickland and Jared Cannonier.

UFC athletes have delivered a spectacular performances that kept fans glued to their chairs. The most noticeable thing this year is that there are several new champions that displaced those that have reigned for years.

Leon Edwards surprised fans when he defeated Kamaru Usman, former UFC pound-for-pound who had been holding the belt since 2019 and had an impressive 19 win streak. Edwards knocked Usman out in the last minute of the fifth round at UFC 278 in August.

Same thing happened to middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, who became a champion in 2019 and has defended 5 times. He was defeated by his longtime kickboxing rival Alex Pereira, who is fairly new to the UFC.

Jiri Prochazka entered the UFC with a blast and defeated Glover Teixeira in a light heavyweight title bout back in June. Zhang Weili snatched back her strawweight belt from Carla Esparza at UFC 281 in November. Islam Makhachev finally became a champion after defeating Charles Oliveira in October.

Of course, those stacked cards in 2022 provided a lot of crazy finishes. Recently, an MMA fan  uploaded a compilation video containing every submission that happened in 2022. The video started with Jake Collier who submitted Chase Sherman via an RNC in January.

The video lasts 7 minutes with a lot of awesome submissions, but fans focused on former women’s strawweight champion Jessica Andrade. She submitted Amanda Lemos in such a unique lock, a standing arm-triangle choke.
