Former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall has revealed that his daily routine includes drinking an astonishing 10 liters of water. This massive water consumption supports his impressive size and rigorous training regimen.
The 36-year-old British strongman won the World’s Strongest Man title in 2017. He emphasizes that such a high water intake is crucial due to his substantial body mass and his tendency to sweat profusely during his twice-daily workouts.
Hall’s significant water intake is directly linked to his immense physical stature. He told Bisping: “I think just being my size, I sweat a lot, you know, because I’ve got a high temperature than most people because of my size.”
His training routine is intense, involving around three to three and a half hours of exercise every day. This level of exertion demands more hydration to keep his body functioning optimally.
Hall stated: “I’m training twice a day, you know, doing it. Probably equates to about 3 hours, 3 and a half hours of training. And then, basically, yeah, liver and kidneys are a little bit more strained than the average person. So just that extra volume of water just keeps the organs flushed out and everything.”
While the benefits of Hall’s hydration strategy are clear, it does come with a downside—frequent trips to the bathroom at night.
He stated: “It is [an issue]. But you gotta do it.” Despite the inconvenience, Hall understands that maintaining his hydration levels is vital for his health and performance.
