Dr Mike Israetel Criticized For Using CBD Gummies “To Manage The Mental Side Effects Of Roids,” Instead Of Just Cycling Off

Fitness YouTuber Zoorp recently took aim at Dr. Mike Israetel following the release of Israetel’s video titled “My Full Day of Eating at 6% Body Fat,” and the criticism did not hold back.

In the video, Israetel casually lists his supplement stack, referencing “CBD gummies to manage the side effects on the brain from taking special support supplements,” noting they “will not be shown in this video for illegal reasons.”

Zoorp’s response was blunt: rather than using CBD gummies to blunt the mental side effects of roid use, the more logical option would be to simply stop using roids altogether.

The criticism goes beyond the CBD gummies themselves. Zoorp pointed out that Israetel is nearly 45 years old, dieting down to 6% body fat, and chasing an IFBB Pro card with no realistic path to competing at events like the Olympia.

Zoorp put it plainly: “This is your uncle that plays pickup at the park, ruining his body and taking st**oids to be a benchwarmer for the Utah Jazz. Like, those are the levels of delusion we have here.”

If someone is making decisions this disconnected from basic logic when it comes to their own health, should they be trusted to guide others?

Zoorp’s view was clear: “Do you actually trust a person that’s this bad at making basic logical decisions with your health? They say do as I say, not as I do. But in this case, I wouldn’t do neither actually.”

The comments section of Israetel’s own video reflected a similar sentiment from his audience. One viewer wrote, “Dr. Mike, I think you need to see Dr. Mike.”

Another wrote: “How about instead of another cutting phase, you try a counseling phase.”

Some of the other comments were:

Perhaps the most pointed comment came from a paying channel member: “Damn, bro’s been cutting so hard he lost his wife.”

Zoorp also took issue with the overall lifestyle on display in the video, from microwaved meals eaten alone in an all-white apartment to a “work” montage that consisted of sitting in front of an AI chatbot with a microphone and ring lights.

Whether Israetel addresses the criticism publicly remains to be seen.
