Two true veterans of the sport faced off tonight at UFC 266. Nick Diaz fought Robbie Lawler again. Lawler really came out swinging and effects of his approach were apparent on Diaz from the get go. But that brings us to the very unorthodox finish.
Little into round 3 this happened:
So Diaz was getting tagged a bit. He seemed to be inviting Lawler for a grappling segment in their bout. Lawler in turn declined turned his back and signaled for Nick to get up. But when prompted by the ref Jason Herzog – Diaz declined and therefor the fight was ruled a tko.
