Dave Chapelle is the latest celebrity to have a nasty ‘fan’ encounter. The Comedian was attacked while on stage at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles late Tuesday Night.
The ‘fan’ in questioned tackled Chappelle during his performance.
Aerial drone footage captured the attacker as he’s wheeled off on a gurney and loaded into an ambulance and taken to a hospital.
Witnesses from the show say man rushed the stage and tackled Chappelle. He was then subdued by security.
LA police confirmed that they responded to an incident at the Hollywood Bowl around 10:45 p.m. and a man who was reportedly armed with multiple weapons was taken into custody.
Chappelle wasn’t injured in the attack. Video posted to social media shows him continuing with the show.
Similar fan encounter prompted Tool lead singer to take up jiu jitsu.
The famous prog-metal band was on the promotional tour of their second album Aenima in the UK when the incident took place.
Unfortunately for the stage-invading fan, the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt Maynard James Keenan was not someone to mess around with. During his performance, he slammed the fan to the ground and put him in a submission hold . Impressively, he did all of this while still singing and didn’t even miss a beat.
