Dana White denies he ever disrespected Anderson Silva

Dana White responded to recent comments UFC veteran Anderson Silva made. Silva was dismayed over how he was treated by the UFC and put the whole organization on blast.

For many athletes, Anderson Silva is the greatest mixed martial artist of all time. Silva had a long reign in the UFC and had gone 34-11 in MMA.

Even UFC president Dana White ranks Silva in his top 3 of all time.

And yet this wasn’t enough for Silva to be treated right. He recently revealed:

“That’s the problem for the people in this sport, especially UFC because UFC doesn’t respect the legacy ” Silva told sportsnaut adding  “And when you’re out, they try to destroy your career”

Dana White responded to Silva’s harsh comments during UFC 274 press conference. White was answering a question about Shogun Rua when he paused and switched the topic to Silva’s criticism. The 52-year-old was very confused by Silva’s statement.

“What the f**k is Anderson Silva talking about? When have I ever talked negatively about Anderson Silva except for the Abu Dhabi”

White blasted Silva’s final bout with Uriah Hall considering it was a very slow and unimpressive bout. At the time he criticized both Silva and Hall, whom he considered cutting at various points in time.

“Never. I never talked bad about Anderson Silva.” White said.

Anderson Silva is set to have his fifth boxing match on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather vs Don Moore boxing event in Dubai. Anderson Silva will clash with UAE Warriors champion Bruno Machado.
