Conor McGregor challenges Tyson Fury to step into the octagon

In the world of combat sports, clashes between boxers and mixed martial artists are always a topic of great interest.

UFC megastar Conor McGregor and boxing champion Tyson Fury, have recently engaged in a war of words, with McGregor throwing down the gauntlet and challenging Fury to step inside the octagon.

Recently, former UFC champion Francis Ngannou made headlines after signing a deal with the PFL. However, he expressed his desire for a boxing match and named Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury as potential opponents.

Fury responded positively on social media, urging Ngannou to swiftly sign the contract. This exchange reignited the age-old debate surrounding MMA stars taking on professional boxers.

The debate further intensified when renowned UFC commentator Joe Rogan boldly stated that UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones would easily defeat Tyson Fury. This statement immediately caught Fury’s attention, and he launched a scathing attack on Rogan. Jones, defending Rogan, engaged in an online spat with Fury, sparking a fiery debate among fans and pundits alike.

Amidst the controversy, Conor McGregor, the former two-division UFC champion, inserted himself into the conversation. The Irish star, known for his brash demeanor, directly challenged Tyson Fury, demanding that he back up his words with action.

“Is Tyson willing to step into the f****g cage or what? He’s saying he would. Tyson says a lot of things. I love him, he’s a mad, mad thing Tyson. And I’m excited to see him go,” McGregor passionately expressed.

When asked about a potential clash between Ngannou and Fury, McGregor offered his prediction. He believed that Ngannou would emerge victorious inside the MMA cage, while Fury would have the upper hand in the boxing ring.

The jury is still out on Fury agreeing even to an exhibition with Ngannou let alone an actual boxing bout.

McGregor had several well documented spats with Fury previously.
