Comedian Tyler Fischer has made allegations against Joe Rogan’s Austin comedy club The Mothership. He claimed it has been infiltrated by “woke ideology” after being banned from the venue. Fischer, who previously appeared on Rogan’s podcast and recorded a comedy special at the club, now alleges the establishment has become hostile to conservative comedians.
Fischer’s troubles began after he was reportedly banned from Fox News five months ago amid allegations of harassment. Shortly after, he was also banned from The Mothership, which he claims is connected to accusations that he was “hitting on people in the lobby” and allegedly harassing women at the club.
“There’s no other way to say it,” Fischer stated in a recent podcast appearance. “It’s the woke mind virus. Not only banned, a cease and desist order.” He specifically targeted the club’s manager, describing him as “far-left” and claiming the venue now employs “woke leftist comedians, non-binary, trans, all of it. It’s a circus there.”
Fischer’s history with alleged discrimination began in New York City, where he claims he was repeatedly told there were “too many white guys” in comedy. He recorded several conversations with agents and managers who allegedly told him they couldn’t represent white male comedians anymore. This led him to relocate to Austin, where Rogan initially welcomed him and featured him on his podcast to discuss being “canceled for being white.”
The comedian alleges he has a “45-minute HR conversation from the woke manager of the comedy club on tape” and claims he was asked to give a “false confession” without being told what he did wrong. Fischer consulted with Jordan Peterson about the situation, who allegedly advised him that “the only strategy is the truth.”
Fischer maintains his innocence regarding the harassment allegations, stating “I’ve had women grab my genitals. I’ve had women say, ‘Can I f**k?’ I have men doing that.” When pressed about his behavior, he acknowledged being “a very s*xual person” who loves “s*x” and “women.”
Fischer now appears to be considering legal action against The Mothership, following a pattern of threatened lawsuits against other venues and organizations that have distanced themselves from him.
