Chase Hooper: ‘I’m one of the few people who was able to be both a virgin and a professional athlete at the same time’

Chase Hooper was the youngest athlete in UFC prior to them signing Raul Rosas Jr. Hooper was born in September of 1999 and is just 23 years old. He’s been with the UFC since 2019. He has a professional record consisting of 11 wins 2 losses and 1 draw. He’s booked to compete this weekend against Steve Garcia.
Garcia is 7 years his senior and has a record consisting of 12 wins and 5 losses.

Hooper isn’t afraid to rely on his personality to boost his online profile and as such has partaken in a number of funny skits over the years. Among the notable ones are the time he pranked Jorge Masvidal into thinking he was Ben Askren’s son (following that flying knee KO).

Hooper was also among the first to parody the infamous Detroit Urban Survival techniques.

The video ended up going viral and was seen millions of times. But Hooper is also a proud member of the ‘Homeless cats’ so called fan club of ‘comedian’ and MMA analyst Brendan Schaub. Hooper has often lampooned Schaub on his social media and even went so far as to partake in an AMA (ask me anything) on Schaub’s infamous subreddit.

There, Hooper revealed several interesting nuggets including that he was a professional mixed martial artist before he cashed in his V card.

And if you can’t understand this post – fret not – this is because it’s written in so called ‘Schaubanese’. In short, Hopper was asked about his sexual experience in a homage to a Brendan Schaub segment during which he infamously discredited a boy’s achievements based on his sexual inexperience.

Hopper also provided some interesting insight into what other UFC athletes think about Schaub.

Hooper is also up on his Schaub lore and provided some interesting insights into how USADA works.

It wasn’t all Schaubanese either, Hooper also shared he had started training when he was just 8.

“I just had a gym down the road from me open up and my parents put me in Jiu Jitsu when I was 8, and I just slowly progressed from there. I don’t think I knew what the UFC was when I started, but after I got to watch some Chuck Liddell fights I started to get into it for sure. Even had a sick Mohawk growing up because of him”

Hooper is set to be featured on the same card as Andrei Arlovski. Arlovski made his debut roughly 6 months before Hooper was born. Best of luck Chase!
