Leading up to his bareknuckle debut Chad Mendes looked stacked. After all he’s still under contract with the UFC. Mendes revealed in the lead up to the fight that his pay for BKFC Knucklemania 2 would be more than Ngannou’s reported UFC 270 purse ($600,000).
Which is all the more surprising ZUFFA allowed Mendes—who last fought in the Octagon in 2018 to even agree to the fight.
