Former UFC heavyweight and podcast host Brendan Schaub recently offered his perspective on how Raja Jackson might transform his recent notoriety into potential opportunities within combat sports entertainment.
During a recent discussion, Schaub posed a provocative question about Jackson’s situation: “In this toxic world we live in, does Raja Jackson capitalize on all this negative attention he’s getting?”
According to Schaub, the answer is a resounding yes. “That’s how this goes,” he stated, referring to the current media landscape’s tendency to monetize controversial moments. “This toxic environment so it’s gonna get weird.”
Schaub outlined several potential paths for Jackson to explore, including opportunities in mixed martial arts. “Does someone offer him a match like a real MMA match, like a regional circuit?” he wondered aloud. Schaub suggested that smaller promotional companies might be interested in capitalizing on Jackson’s viral moment.
Beyond traditional MMA, Schaub also speculated about possibilities in professional wrestling, noting that smaller promotions outside the major leagues might see value in Jackson’s current recognition.
Perhaps most intriguingly, Schaub proposed an unexpected twist that could benefit all parties involved. His suggestion involved a collaborative approach that would bring Jackson together with Syko Stu, the individual at the center of the viral incident.
“The move would be do like a tag team thing with Stu, the guy he messed up,” Schaub explained. His vision involves Stu taking ownership of the situation, saying “listen, got out of hand, blah blah,” leading to reconciliation between the two men.
“They become buddies,” Schaub continued, painting a picture of former adversaries turned allies. “I’m a tag team, they’re like the bash brothers.”
