Boxing vixen Ebanie Bridges to defend world title against Avril Mathie

Australian boxing sensation Ebanie Bridges is slated to defend her IBF bantamweight world title against Avril Mathie on December 9 in the vibrant city of San Francisco.

In her most recent bout in December 2022, Bridges demonstrated her prowess by securing a resounding victory over fellow Australian pugilist Shannon O’Connell in a gripping eight-round clash. However, Bridges’ victory was followed by a prolonged hiatus owing to a hand injury sustained prior to the contest.

The 37-year-old boxing icon clinched her world title in March 2022, outlasting the tenacious Maria Cecilia Roman.

Roman had held the coveted belt since 2017, defending it six times before succumbing to Bridges’ unyielding determination.

While Bridges’ ring achievements are undoubtedly impressive, it is her distinctive weigh-ins that have etched her name into the annals of boxing history. Dressed in alluring lingerie, Bridges never fails to captivate audiences. She also taunts Matchroom Boxing owner Eddie Hearn as he avoids eye contact.

A former mathematics educator, Bridges changed her teaching career to amass a legion of devoted fans. Her entrepreneurial acumen came to the fore with the launch of her OF.platform.

Bridges will face the 8-1-1 Mathie, another Australian who isn’t afraid to dress up scantily. While Bridges dresses in lingerie, Mathie weighs in in a tiny bikini.

The contest was unexpected, given that Mathie had to go up in weight class after losing her most recent contest against Ramli Ali for the IBF Intercontinental Super Bantamweight championship.

Mathie’s journey to this monumental showdown has not been without its challenges. Her recent loss to Ramli Ali for the IBF Inter-Continental Super Bantamweight title necessitated a move up in weight class, adding an extra layer of intrigue to this high-stakes encounter.

The electrifying showdown between Bridges and Mathie is slated to headline the undercard of the much-anticipated Devin Haney-Regis Prograis event on December 9.

In a candid conversation with The Daily Mail, Bridges acknowledged her friendship with Mathie. She said: “I respect her a lot. I’m excited for this fight because I know our styles will go well together. We both also have big followings – so I’m naming this the ‘Battle of the Babes’.”

“It will be the sexiest fight ever. The weigh-in will break the internet. It will also get a lot of viewers outside of boxing because people will be interested to see if these two ‘OnlyFans models’ can box.”

The two have already begun taunting one another on social media.

Bridges tweeted: “I can’t wait to smash your pretty face in @avrilmathie.”

Mathie went on to reply: “Would only be fair play after I’ve already exploded your right t*t”

Despite the anticipation surrounding the match, the two have long enjoyed a friendly rivalry.  Bridges only had kind things to say about her countrywoman back in April when the idea of the match was initially floated.

Bridges told talkSPORT: “I love Avril, I think she’s great, honestly. She works really hard and I respect her for what she does, her hustle, her lifestyle and what she’s done.”

“I think it will be a great fight and it will definitely be crowd pleasing. I think our weigh-ins will break the internet.”

The December 9 card is poised to be a monumental event for Australian boxing aficionados. Liam Paro is set to lock horns with Montana Love, with the victor positioning themselves for a shot at the winner of the Haney-Prograis showdown.
