Andrew Tate gets $40M of assets returned due to lack of evidence in Romanian court proceedings

Controversial influencer Andrew Tate has announced that a Romanian court has ordered the return of approximately $40 million worth of assets previously seized during an ongoing investigation. The decision comes after nearly two years of legal proceedings following Tate’s arrest in December 2022.

The Bucharest Tribunal Court ruled to return Tate’s assets, citing a “lack of evidence” in the case against him. The returned property includes several luxury vehicles, gold bars, and $3 million in cash, according to Tate’s statement on social media platform X.

Tate and his brother Tristan were initially detained by Romanian authorities as part of an investigation into allegations of sexual assault and exploitation. Shortly after their arrest, law enforcement seized numerous assets belonging to the Tate brothers, including Andrew’s well-known orange Bugatti Chiron.

The recent court decision marks a significant development in the ongoing legal saga. It follows a series of raids conducted on August 21, 2024, which included searches of four properties, including Tate’s Bucharest residence. At the time, a spokesperson for Tate stated that the charges were not fully clarified but included suspicions of human trafficking and money laundering.

Tristan Tate also took to social media to express his gratitude towards the Romanian judges, praising their decision as “yet another good call.” He announced that all of his recently seized vehicles would be returned within 24 hours.

The case has garnered widespread attention due to Andrew Tate’s controversial public persona and the serious nature of the allegations against him. In a recent interview, Tate vehemently denied wrongdoing and claimed he was being “set up,” asserting that many of the alleged targets had provided statements in his defense.

(Video) Khabib Reacts To Andrew Tate Talking About Him

During a recent interview in Malaysia, former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov was shown a video of Andrew Tate praising his dedication to faith and training. Tate emphasized that Khabib’s life revolves solely around his religion and his craft, without distractions like wealth, clubs, or women. Khabib seemed unfazed by the praise, expressing surprise that people find his commitment to his religion and country remarkable.

He pointed out that such dedication should be natural, not seen as extraordinary. Khabib’s diplomatic response contrasts with Tate’s controversial reputation, as an undercover report recently detailed allegations of Tate exploiting and abusing women in his webcam business. Despite these serious accusations, Tate denies any wrongdoing and awaits trial in Romania alongside his brother, Tristan Tate.
